Reverend Leonidas Muganda

Our Lead Pastor

Reverend Leonidas Muganda is the Source of Life Church Leicester Founder and has been our Lead Pastor Since April 2002

Leonidas Muganda was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he trained to become a Catholic Priest before studying Economics at the University of Lubumbashi in the D R Congo.

He received the Lord Jesus- Christ as his Lord and Saviour on the 28^th October 1996, before he came to the United Kingdom to further his studies at the University of Hull where he graduated in July 2000 with a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA).

He moved to Leicester in October 2000 looking for Employment and joined New Trinity Church, an AOG church where he became a Leader of a Life Group made of French Speaking Asylum Seekers.

With the blessing of Pastor Brian Niblock, the then Lead Pastor of New Trinity Church, the Life Group was transformed into a Prayer Group that met every Sunday afternoon on Rutland Street, Leicester at the International Hotel where the majority of its member where staying under the National Asylum System Scheme

In May 2001, it became impossible to continue using the International Hotel due to the lack of public liability Insurance and the Prayer Group was offered a place by Pastor Brian Niblock to continue its activities at 53 Upper Titchborne Street, Leicester before moving into a church Building on Spinney Hill Road in a former United Reformed Church Building.

Led by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Brian Niblock acknowledged the grace of God upon Leonidas Muganda and prayed for him as a church Pastor on the 13^th April 2002.

Pastor Leonidas Muganda is a Man of God full of the Holy Spirit and operate mostly in the gift of the Word of Wisdom and many other Spiritual Gifts. He is also a Community Leader and has helped setting up many Community Group in the City of Leicester

Pastor Leonidas Muganda is married to Francoise Muganda and they have 5 children.

Pastor Leonidas Muganda loves the Lord and is passionate to see the Body of Christ unite to bring the lost to the Lord. He preaches a message of uncompromising truth and is doctrinally sound with the message of Holiness.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

UNITY OF THE ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD

We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God who is the Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM”, Who has also revealed Himself as One being co-existing in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit

LIFE OF JESUS

We believe in the Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Miraculous Ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Resurrection, Triumphant Ascension and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory as the blessed hope of all believers

FALL OF MAN

We believe in the fall of man, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH

We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who, according to the Scriptures, died for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day, and that through His Blood we have Redemption.

NEW BIRTH

This experience is also known as the new birth, and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

BAPTISM BY IMMERSION IN WATER

We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of the believer with power for service, the essential, biblical evidence of which is the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of Christ in the Church today.

HOLINESS OF LIFE

We believe in holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God.

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that deliverance from sickness, by Divine Healing is provided for in the Atonement.

BREAKING OF BREAD

We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour should regularly participate in Breaking of Bread.

RESURRECTION OF ALL WHO TRULY BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and the everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life.
